IRLP — Node 1461 Currently Offline
About IRLP
The Internet Radio Linking Project (IRLP) connects amateur radio repeaters around the world using Voice over IP. The VE7RVA IRLP node allows users on the 2m repeater (146.610 MHz) to connect to other IRLP-equipped repeaters worldwide by dialing a node number.
The 1.25m repeater (224.26 MHz) may also be used as a secondary IRLP link under special circumstances.
Note: The IRLP node is currently offline.
How to Connect
- Identify yourself and state your purpose before entering any DTMF codes
- Enter the four-digit node number of the repeater you wish to connect to using your DTMF keypad
- After a brief moment, you should hear a voice prompt indicating whether the connection was successful
- Communicate normally — your transmissions will be heard on the remote repeater and vice versa
- To disconnect, enter 73 on your DTMF keypad
- Identify with your callsign after disconnecting
Guidelines
- Always identify yourself and explain your purpose before entering DTMF codes
- Use the disconnect code 73 followed by your callsign when you are finished
- IRLP cannot be used to extend net coverage through remote repeaters via inbound or outbound connections
- Individual operators may join nets on VE7RVA directly
- Respect other systems — avoid extended usage without prior coordination
- Remote repeater operators wishing to connect to VE7RVA during scheduled nets require advance approval from FVARESS
